Naxos introduces Glissando and highlights some auspicious Women in Music!

While I know that some of you might not have subscriptions to Naxos Music Library, I thought I would post this notice of their new podcast, which I understand you can subscribe to in various places even if you do not belong to their subscription service.  I include it here mostly because their first podcast includes information about two composers who are women and I felt it would be enlightening for us all to listen to what they have to say!

Introducing: Glissando - Classical Music Is For Everyone

Naxos Online Libraries is excited to announce a new podcast called Glissando!

Here at Glissando we believe that classical music is for everyone. We share the compelling new releases and hidden gems we encounter, and we tell the stories that bring these works and composers to life. If you're new to classical music, we'll help you begin exploring. If you're already familiar with classical music, we'll keep you on your toes.

The first episode includes an interview with composer Jennifer Higdon regarding her latest release on Naxos Records, plus an introduction to Grażyna Bacewicz's Violin Concerto No. 3. More episode details can be found HERE. The second episode will follow soon.

Subscribe on iTunes, Google Play, Stitcher, TuneIn, Overcast, or Blubrry. Find out where you can purchase or stream the featured full-length releases HERE. And let us know what you think!
