Dame Kiri Te Kanawa has announced that she will no longer perform publically. What a magnificent career this woman has had! FIVE DECADES in music! WOMEN IN MUSIC!! Both Isabelle Faust and Joyce Di Donato were considered for top honors, but Isabelle Faust's Harmonia Mundi recording of the Mozart violin concertos with Il Giardino Armonico directed by Giovanni Antonini was named Gramophone ’s Recording of the Year !
